Katarina started her career in journalism in 1999, and has since covered politics, economics, human rights, social and health issues, culture, new technologies and environment. She has experience in radio, TV, print and online journalism. She works with Republika Srpska News Agency SRNA since 2002.
Katarina holds a Bachelor's degree in Serbian Language, Literature and General Linguistics from the Faculty of Philology at the University of Belgrade.
She has attended many training courses related to the different types of journalism run by BBC, Thomson Reuters, Deutsche Welle, National Press Foundation, RNTC Hilversum Netherland, Media Plan Institute Sarajevo, Cardiff University and Balkan Investigative Reporting Network, including the BIRN Summer School for Investigative Journalism in 2015. She is also a BIRN fellow of the Balkan Fellowship for Journalistic Excellence from 2013.
In 2014 Katarina was awarded the UNICEF annual media prize for special journalistic contribution to the promotion and protection of children's rights in Bosnia Herzegovina.
