Since its foundation in 2008, RUSA LGBT in a nonprofit NGO advocating for the rights of queer asylum seekers from Russia, the Ukraine, and other former Soviet Union countries. The organization provides information to asylum seekers and organizes social events to increase inclusion of LGBTQ people within the Russian-speaking public and raise awareness to their plight.
